2022 NFL playoff picture: Here are the 14 teams projected to make the postseason heading into Week 13

Through 12 weeks of the NFL season, we still have not seen a single group clinch a playoff berth yet, however that might alter today.

Heading into Week 13, the Vikings and Eagles might both clinch an area in the postseason if a couple of things form for them (You can checked out everything about those precise circumstances here). Although we understand those 2 groups will likely be making the playoffs, the other 12 areas are still up for grabs.

So who else will sign up with the Vikings and Eagles in the postseason?

That’s what we’re here to respond to today with our weekly playoff forecast, where we take a look at the postseason possibilities for all 32 groups. The forecasts here are based upon information from number-cruncher Stephen Oh of SportsLine.com. Oh plugged some numbers into his SportsLine computer system today and simulated the remainder of the NFL season, and utilizing those numbers, we’re going to let you understand the playoff possibilities for every single group, plus the predicted 14-team playoff field.

With that in mind, let’s get to today’s playoff forecasts.

AFC Playoff Projection

Here’s a list of the playoff possibilities for all the other AFC groups (their portion possibilities of entering into the playoffs is noted beside them in parentheses):  Patriots (52.4%), Chargers (45.3%), Jaguars  (5.8%), Browns (4.2%), Steelers (2.4%), Raiders (2.2%), Colts (2%), Broncos (0.0%), Texans (0.0%).

NFC Playoff Projection

Here’s a list of the playoff possibilities for all the other NFC groups (their portion possibilities of entering into the playoffs is noted beside them in parentheses): Commanders (55.8%), Falcons (7.7%), Saints (6.0%), Panthers (5.4%), Lions (2.8%), Packers (1.0%), Rams (0.6%), Cardinals (0.3%), Bears (0.0%).

Note:  The Texans, Broncos and Bears have not been gotten rid of from playoff contention, however they have a 0% possibility of making it due to the fact that the computer system dislikes them. Actually, the computer system does not like or dislike, it has no sensations, it simply does not believe there’s a mathematical possibility for Houston, Chicago or Denver to make it.
