Donovan Mitchell injury update: Jazz star says he's 'good to go' for Game 6 vs. Mavericks despite quad issue

The Utah Jazz revealed Tuesday afternoon that All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell is handling bruising in both of his quads, and will get treatment on them till Game 6 versus the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday. This followed Mitchell left Game 5 Monday night with a hamstring injury, though the MRI on his left hamstring returned unfavorable. 

The All-Star guard prepares to use Thursday night as Utah deals with removal in your home. Mitchell informed press reporters Wednesday that he’s “good to go.”

The injury took place in with 4:41 minutes staying in the 4th quarter of Monday’s Game 5. Mitchell landed awkwardly after attempting to complete a drive at the rim, and instantly started getting at his left hamstring.

Mitchell hopped to the locker space and was eliminated for the rest of the video game. After the video game, Mitchell stated that his hamstring simply tightened up. Prior going out with the injury, Mitchell wasn’t having the very best video game, installing simply 9 points in Utah’s demoralizing 102-77 loss. 

Though Mitchell hasn’t had the best series up until now, his production is important to the Jazz’s success. If Utah wishes to extend this series to 7 video games, they’ll require Mitchell totally healthy. We’ll need to see how he advances over the next 2 days to see if he can lead his group in a must-win circumstance.
