Edwin Diaz all smiles after surgery, thanks Mets fans for support

Mets star more detailed Edwin Diaz went through an effective repair work of the patellar tendon in his best knee on Thursday afternoon, less than 24 hr after the disastrous injury that’s most likely to keep him out for the whole 2023 season.

Following his surgical treatment, Diaz required to Twitter to thank Mets fans for all of their assistance following the injury and stated he can’t wait to be back in New York “and play those trumpets.”

“To all my beloved fans, especially the Mets fans, I want to let you know that I am doing well and healing. I feel blessed and grateful for your support with messages and prayers, thank you very much! I can’t wait to see you guys in NY again and play those trumpets,” Diaz tweeted.

The more detailed’s other half, Nashaly Mercado, published an image of him to Instagram after surgical treatment and called her spouse “a warrior” for providing his all for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic.

“Thank you all for your kind messages, good vibes and positive comments. We prepare ourselves for a lot of things but NEVER for these situations and how it hurts when they happen. Husband you are a warrior yesterday you gave it ALL to bring joy to our country I didn’t end as we expected but thank God you’re fine that’s the most important thing. In gods name everything will be fine. We love you my life ❤️,” Mercado composed on Instagram.

Earlier on Thursday, Diaz published to Instagram and thanked all of Puerto Rico for their assistance, keeping in mind that the surgical treatment went as prepared.

“Puerto Rico, I’m good!!” Diaz composed. “My family and I are beyond grateful with all the support we have received from you though your messages and prayers. The operation was successful thank God and we hope the recovery will be the same. Keep supporting our Team Rubio, don’t leave!! Grateful and blessed for the love shown to me I will never forget it PR thank you!”
