EuroBasket 2022, the latest edition of the quadrennial competition to identify the basketball champ of Europe, tipped off on Sept. 1 and goes through Sept. 18 with video games played in the Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy and Germany. Format

The competition will start with the group phase, which includes 4 groups of 6 groups. Each group will play a round-robin, in which each group will play the other 5 groups in its group when. Teams will get 2 points for a win and one point for a loss, and the leading 4 groups in each group will advance to the knockout phase. If 2 groups are incorporated points, their head-to-head match will be the very first tiebreaker. Subsequent tiebreakers will be point differential followed by points scored if needed. 

The 16 groups that advance to the knockout phase will then be positioned in a bracket based upon their certifying position. From there, it’s single-elimination matches all the method up until the last, which will be played in Berlin on Sept. 18.
