Fernando Tatis Jr. hits two home runs vs. Clayton Kershaw, Padres beat Dodgers in first meeting of 2023

For the very first time this season, the NL West competitor Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres fulfilled on Friday night. Thanks mostly to Fernando Tatis Jr., the Padres chased after future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw in the 5th inning, and went on to win the video game 5-2 at Petco Park (box rating).

Los Angeles took a fast 1-0 lead in the top of the very first inning, then Tatis reacted with a solo crowning achievement versus Kershaw in the 3rd and a two-run homer versus Kershaw in the 5th. With Friday’s win, the Padres are 18-15 on the young season. The Dodgers are 19-14 and in top place in the NL West. Including Friday, these 2 groups will play 6 times in the next 10 days.
