PARIS — Lionel Messi lastly has his very first Paris Saint-Germain objective in Ligue 1 after finishing a lovely 3-1 success over FC Nantes on Saturday with an outstanding strike.

Prior to the famous Argentine’s minute of magic, Mauricio Pochettino’s males were exceptionally lucky to be in front through a deflected Kylian Mbappe effort and a wild Dennis Appiah own objective either side of a Randal Kolo Muani strike and Keylor Navas’ red card.

Although the outcome and efficiency did little to resolve the concept that PSG are far from taking advantage of their capacity under Pochettino, Messi leaving the mark locally raises a weight off his shoulders.

“I am very happy with this first league goal,” stated Messi post-match. “I had several chances before, both in this game and others. Unfortunately, I could not convert those until this one finally arrived. I am very happy as I have already scored in the Champions League. Chances have come and now the goals have too.”

It was a wonderful surface similar to the 34-year-old’s prime when it got here late on at a cold Parc des Princes and curled beyond the despairing dive of Alban Lafont who had foiled him several times throughout the video game.

Indeed, it was perhaps the only worthwhile strike to strike the visitors’ internet with Mbappe’s opener and Appiah’s own objective both hugely regrettable for Antoine Kombouare’s going to Canaris.

“It is very important for him to have scored,” included Pochettino after the last whistle. “It is his first Ligue 1 goal. It was important both for him and the team. It is a good victory for us.”

Messi is now on 4 objectives all season with PSG and 3 of those have actually been available in the UEFA Champions League with next week’s journey to Manchester City an opportunity to contribute to that.

PSG should be more persuading, however, with Messi, Mbappe and periodically Neymar magic insufficient to keep bailing them out in majorly disjointed screens where they frequently ride their luck.
