NBA Top 100 player rankings, a team-by-team breakdown: Blazers with most for 2021-22; Lakers in middle of pack

USATSI

We’re inching closer to the start of the 2021-22 NBA season, which suggests it’s time for CBS Sports’ yearly ranking of the Top 100 NBA gamers. Player motion around the league this summer season moved a few of the skill balance in the NBA, however unlike last season all 30 groups have at least one gamer represented in the list.

The New York Knicks handled to go from having no gamers on this list a year ago to now being among simply 6 groups to have 5 gamers in our Top 100. Other groups, like the Los Angeles Lakers, lost some depth after some offseason relocations, while teams like the Sacramento Kings, who have 4 gamers on the list, and the Indiana Pacers (5) are hoping that collection of skill equates to group success this season.

This breakdown isn’t the sole determiner of a group’s success, however it’s an excellent indication of how skill is dispersed around the league from our point of view. So even if the Knicks have 5 gamers on this list and the Lakers just have 3 does not suggest that New York is bound for a champion, however it is quite mind-blowing to see.
