Tom Brady draws first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of his career for yelling at referee Shawn Hochuli

After 22 seasons in the NFL, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady figured to be all out of firsts.

But in Sunday’s divisional championship game versus the Los Angeles Rams, Brady was punished for unsportsmanlike conduct for the very first time in his profession. The event came throughout the 2nd quarter when Brady was struck by Rams linebacker Von Miller simply as he launched a pass.

Miller appeared to lead with his helmet and struck the seven-time Super Bowl champ in the middle of his chest. A furious Brady, with a little bit of blood on his lip, started chewing out referee Shawn Hochuli.

But rather of a charge on the Rams, Hochuli flagged Brady.

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady was under heavy pressure from the Rams defense throughout the very first half of Sunday’s NFC divisional championship game.

The NBC broadcast group of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth rapidly kept in mind that it was Brady’s first-ever unsportsmanlike conduct charge — which simply recently he confessed in a SiriusXM interview with Jim Gray that authorities “probably let me get away with a lot of unsportsmanlike conducts talking smack to the other teams and talking smack to the refs when I don’t think I get the right call.”

Brady and the Bucs had plenty more to complain about in the first half, falling behind the Rams 20-3 at the break.
